One module I undertook during my MSc in Political Communication and Public Affairs was a module dedicated to public affairs. There were two main pieces of work for this module. First, a policy report about any piece of public policy – I chose the Gender Recognition Reform Bill. This piece was intended to be used as a basis for the second piece. The second piece of work was a briefing portfolio, which included a parliamentary policy brief and an issues management brief for an NGO/Charity (in my case, Scottish Trans).
